It serves its purpose as a desk chair just fine. Only slightly difficult to assemble (had to screw the wooden seat to the metal frame). Screwing it in was fine but there are no indicating marks to center it- you have to measure or just do it by eye and hope it's even on both sides. I was concerned it would LOOK too metal, but you can't really tell. The finish of the metal doesn't stick out. All in all, I'm pretty pleased
