This review is from: Set of 2 Dining Chairs Black Leather Walnut Finish First of all, they were packaged and delivered quickly and securely. There is some assembly required but it was not difficult for me. Each piece is individually wrapped (chair back, seat, front legs, cross support). So assembly involves putting those four pieces together. All of the hardware and a special tool for assembly is included. You do need your own phillips screwdriver for attaching the seat cushion to the chair. I happen to have a cordless screwdriver which I found useful, but you could easily do it manually I would imagine. There are just four screws that require the screwdriver on the chair. The bolts used to put them together are fairly large so as to make a nice solid and sturdy chair once assembled. It did take me thirty to forty five minutes on average to assemble each chair because the bolts screw in with an allen wrench, which is provided, but as you know you can only get a small bite on each turn with an L shaped allen wrench. The reason I gave them a rating of four stars, and not five, was because everywhere on the chair that is not seen by the eye when it is assembled and and sitting on the floor i.e. under the seat, on the inside of the side panels, and on the ends of the legs which are facing the floor, the finish was not the same as the...Read more |
