This 5-Drawer Chest with its pure black finish has simple and elegant lines. The transitional lines are soften by the decorative kick plate. Nickel chrome handles are adding character and value to the furniture. This chest is made of recycled CARB compliant particle panels. The glides are made of polymer and include dampers and catches, creating a secure environment for little ones. It has to be assembled by two adults. Measures 32 inches wide by 17 inches deep by 46 inches high. This chest is delivered in one box measuring 51 inches by 20 inches by 9 inches and weights 79 pounds. My boyfriend put this together. He is experienced in putting together all types of furniture. It did take longer than anticipated about 4 hours. The drawers was the most work. I recommend wood glue for the drawers to hold them together. Once together it is very similar to the other dresser from South Shore (step one) I believe. It is very pretty and will hold things for storage which is what we wanted. The only thing I want to put a small tv on top and it is a little sturdy but wobbles slightly (cardboard backing) so we are going to use the mount for the wall to hold better in place. Overall very nice looking, I think it should have been cheaper.

I bought this drawer chest for my girlfriend to store her clothes and it has been a storage savior! Granted, it took a little long to assemble it, but not as long or hard as others have exaggerated. If you have COMMON SENSE and a somewhat knack for assembling stuff, then it shouldn't be that hard or tedious to setup.

Either way, I love the wood on the furniture and the size was neither too big or small to fit in our bedroom. I would definetly recommend this product for those who need to put clothes in a great storage piece of furniture.

THIS IS A VERY DURABLE CHEST OF DRAWERS. IT HAS A NICE MODERN LOOK. NOT SHINNY BLACK A DULL EXPRESSO COLOR. VERY NICE WITH THE REST OF THE SOUTH SHORE COLLECTION. I BOUGHT ALL THE PIECES. I PURCHASED SOME IN THE FURNITURE STORE, IN FACT THIS EXACT CHEST IN A LOCAL FURNITURE STORE AND PD. TWICE AS MUCH FOR IT. I WAS NOT HAPPY TO FIND AMAZON HAD IT FOR HALF THE PRICE, SO I PURCHASED ANOTHER. I WOULD DEFENETLY RECOMMEND THIS COLLECTION.
